Clip Art

A clipboard I made for my youngest a few years back.  It is perfect in the car when he wants to write or draw, or the occasional trip into church.  Ben has one as well.  Very simple & easy to make.  The front just has the patterned paper so that it makes a good writing surface.  Paper is MME, sticker is Pebbles, Inc.  Freehand writing with a sharpie for his name.  All of it is covered with generous layers of mod podge.  You can see I had some trouble with wrinkling & bubbling. With the thinner paper you really need to be careful with you application of the mod.  I’ve found I actually like the heavier weight paper (not quite stock weight) best.

Mini Album Share - Matthew

This is a 6x6 mini, the papers are all Li’l Davis & cardstock Bazzill Basics.  Comb binding, which I really love cause I can do it myself!

Threads is from Making Memories, letters from Paper Studio, Making Memories & Chatterbox.  I LOVE this gigantic rick-rack.  Hobby Lobby had spools of it on sale for just a couple bucks but there is like 13 yards of it in all different colors.  Inking around the edges.  Stampin’ Up ink I would imagine.

Bazzill Basics button, & brad, Paper Studio Flower, Phrase Café sticker & unknown rubon.

Pebbles Inc Sticker, Making Memories sticker, resin stars

Dymo label with his birth date, paper clip & binder clip with lots of ribbon & rick rack.

Sheer ribbon holding a painted chipboard tag, 7 Gypsies rubon, Bazzil Basics Chip topper

7 Gypsie Stamp, unknown rubon.

Thanks so much for looking!

MIA - sorta....

I haven't been sitting on my hands though.... I have been in the studio finally attacking the topsy-turvy, falling over pile of scraps that I meant to turn into cards.  Many of them I wanted to become thank you cards for everyone who had donated to my mom, however, I had those finished & still a huge pile of scraps, so I just kept trucking along and this is what I ended up with:

32 Thank you cards
1 Blank card
7 Love cards and.....
drum roll please.....

........

96 Happy Birthday cards.... for a sum total of..... 136 cards (wow, did I do the math right?!?!)

Needless to say, my card box is now overflowing, and the pile is gone.  So on to more projects!

From the Studio - Baby Girl Mini Album

I made this a few years ago (check out the date!) for a couple friends of mine who had just celebrated the birth of their first baby girl.

I bound it with my comb binder.  Letters are paper Studio, Junkitz, Making Memories & Li’l Davis.  Flower was probably from the dollar store, button is Paper Studio.  Ribbon is varied.  Paper is all DCWV and cardstock Bazzill Basics.

Binder clip from Office Depot, Market tag by Li’l Davis.  Not sure on the ink that I used.

Junkitz Oh My Wordz (I think!) and Paper Studio chip board.  And some paint.

More chipboard, Soft Sentiments tag, Not sure on the rub-on.

Heidi Swapp tape wrapped around chipboard flower, Junkitz Zipper pull, Paper Studio ribbon slide.

Phrase Café Sticker, Making Memories metal photo corner.

Doodlebug Jellishment & paper covered chipboard flower.

Don’t know on the rubon, rhinestones from Michaels, Paper Studio & Queen & Co. flowers.

Very fun, beautiful book to celebrate something so crazy special!  Thanks for looking!

Cards to Share

Just a few miscellaneous cards that I’ve had sitting in the queue for a bit…

All cardstock is Bazzill Basics, all patterned papers are Die Cuts with a View

This is a sweet little card for a very special occasion.  Very simple, but elegant.  Added a flower and a Bazzill Chip Topper with a Dymo label for the sentiment.  Usually my cards are blank on the inside as I tend to write a letter along with them.

Here also is a very simple, but elegant card.  Added another dollar store flower (actually I used 2 so it would have a bit more fullness), inked the edges of the paper & Chip Topper & that’s it.

This one is very similar, used some Heidi Swapp Tape on it, and a different flower from the dollar store, but totally cute!  The Chip Topper is hard to read, it says “giggle”.  Perfect for those little shared secrets between BFFs.

Enjoy & Thanks!

Super Cute Door Hangers

These are some super-cute door hangers that I made for each of the obys.  The back is an old CD that I covered with the paper.  The ribbon is glued between the paper & disk & obviously is long enugh to slip over the knob.

Paper for Zack is My Mind’s Eye, letters are Chatterbox, Making Memories, Paper Studio and Lil’ Davis.  Stickers are 7 Gypsies.  Train is one of those little wooden pieces you can get out of the bin at Michaels or Hobby Lobby.   Add a picture and it is an adorable way to personalize a door in a very non-permanent (destructive) way.

Papers here are Junkitz, Letters are Making Memories, Paper Studio & Li’l Davis.  Sticker is Creative Memories & button is Dress-It-Up.

All told, I think it took about an hour a piece.  This is also a great idea for magnets and Christmas tree ornaments.

LO - My Travels

This single page layout is from our Gatlinburg trip, first family vacation, back in 2003.  I was very pregnant with 000 & 003 was quite the handful.  This was back when I was first starting to be OK with my own handwriting on my pages and it is funny to think all I used to do was on the PC now all I do is handwriting.  Interesting to see the early days of that sylistic change. Paper is doodlebug, rubons are Creative Imaginations, I don’t remember where I got the charm and the ribbon is Offray, I’m sure.

I still struggle trying to go deeper with my journaling, beyond “just the facts, ma’am”, as I enjoy reading that.  But perhaps that is just a part of what makes me me, but I would like to learn how to make it more meaningful.  To tell a story, to get a person “inside” it.

Enjoy!

A few cards to share

Here are some really quick cards that I made up from scraps when I was done with layouts and other projects.  It seems like I always have a large pile of card bases waiting to be turned into something….

These 2 both are Bazzill Basics cardstock with Provo Craft paper (at Michael’s).  Rubons are Basic Grey (I think!)

This is still Bazzill Basics cardstock but the paper is Paper Studio (Hobby Lobby) and then a Junkitz Rubon.

Just very simple and quick.  I like having lots of cards around as I usually am sending out lots too.  Thanks for checking them out!
